Last Sunday we decided to try a different playground. We took the double-jogger and ran over to another part of the neighborhood, let the kids play a little bit, then jogged back home. Now when Emmery wants to go there she says, "I want to go to the different playground!"
Marc loves to hang from the monkey bars, big surprise!! He can actually hold on by himself for a few seconds. Kid's got a serious grip. I joke that it's because he has to hold on to his toys so tight so that Em can't rip them out of his hands :-)
Mikey turned on the fireplace and the kids loved it.

Modern day multitasking for a 2.5 year old...
The stairs are still one of his favorite places to play. He always thinks he's getting away with something, that's why he looks so guilty in this picture!
I have learned that the best way to get Marc to eat is to let him feed himself. He's actually getting pretty good at it. I know this picture is messy, but it's chili, what do you expect? It's pretty cute though, he'll grab the pieces of food with one hand and put them on his spoon and then bring the spoon to his mouth.
All bundled up and ready to go for a run. The kids actually really enjoy it. Marc just sits back and relaxes. Emmery chitter chatters the whole time, which is cute, but I am not one to carry on a conversation while I run.
I like Marc's expression in this picture.
More attempts at getting a good shot of the kids together. These came out pretty good.
Some outdoor shots...
It's amazing to me how quickly Emmery's vocabulary has expanded in such a short time. We can basically carry on a conversation with her. She speaks very clearly and continues to incorporate new words. Most recently, she has started to use the word "sure" as in, "it sure is windy out here mommy." The other day she used the word "quite" in a sentence. I can't remember what she said but she used it in context which was pretty impressive. She adds "or something" to the end of her sentences a lot. Like, "I need a piece of paper or something" or, "is that a box or something?" She'll also correct our pronunciation on certain words, which is pretty funny, especially with Mikey. "It's not cahhh daddy, it's car!" ;-)
