Mikey came home early so he could help me get the kids ready. We sat down for dinner and Emmery was being difficult, didn't want to sit, didn't want to eat. She was in "one of those moods..." We kept reminding her that we would be trick-or-treating tonight. And she kept saying she didn't want to go. We knew that if she really knew what she was in for she would not be acting that way. We finally talked her into putting on her costume and she started to cheer up. Doing her hair was an adventure but we got through it. She loves playing with all the different stuff in our bathroom, so when we said we were leaving, this is what we got. I HAD to get a picture. Classic.

She LOVES her costume!! Ha! |
We attempted to get some pictures of them on the front porch before we left. I cannot believe how difficult it is to get the two of them to sit still at the exact same time for ONE second.
And we're off...
Lots of people sit out in their driveways to hand out candy. But we still had to walk up to a few houses and ring the doorbell. At first we walked up with her and rang the bell and coached her to say "trick or treat" and hold out her basket. She was pretty shy to begin. People would tell her to help herself and she'd slowly take one little piece of candy. Towards the end she was walking up to the doors and doing it all on her own. When told to help herself she would grab a whole handful!
This guy was so funny he answered his door, "ho ho ho, Happy Halloween!"
We left the house around 7:00 and got back a little after 8:00. We were some of the last ones out there!
Didn't take Marc long to get ahold of a lollipop!
