This move went MUCH MUCH MUCH (did I say much?) smoother than our last one. Once the relocation company gave us the go-ahead to contact an agent about listing our house, we called the agent who sold us the house, Peggy Rogge. She told us she wanted to come by the NEXT day to take pictures and get all the measurements needed to put the house on the market. We didn't think it would be that soon but we figured we might as well. So Mikey and I spent all night cleaning and decluttering.
After Peggy got everything she needed we sat down in the kitchen to go over all the paperwork and procedures. She happened to mention that she was showing houses the next day so she wouldn't be available. And then she said, "hmmm... ya know I am showing houses to a couple tomorrow in this area, I wonder if I should show them your house?" I said, "Can you do that? It's not even on the market yet!" And she said she could. So she did. And they loved it! We got an offer (asking price!) within a week! We were so nervous throughout the whole process, thinking it was just too good to be true. But I kept reminding myself that we DESERVED this after what happened in Florida.
We put this sign up when we already had an offer on the house! Gotta love that!
Pick a winner!!
This was the second time I took Emmery with me to get a pedicure... Big mistake! Now every time her nail polish chips she shows it to me. I tell her, "okay sweetie I can paint it for you." She says, "no I wanna go to the nail salon and get a pedicure!" Whoops, no more pedis for her for a long time!
