ABC Box

Of course I got this idea from someone else online.  I would never think to do this on my own!   

The ABC Box is a sensory box that is intended to make the child excited about learning his or her letters.  So you put a bunch of things in the box that begin with the letter that you are focusing on.  But to make the box more interesting than just a box, you can fill it with cool stuff.  Like dyed pasta.  We bought like four bags of alphabet pasta and dyed them with food coloring and alcohol.  

Then put them out to dry for a couple of hours.

After they were dry, we mixed them together.

Our first week was "A" so here is the box ready for Emmery to explore!
